Overview

Bide is a mobile app for intermittent fasting. It times your fasts and eating windows, logs water and weight, and sends the reminders you set. By downloading or using Bide, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

• Bide is for adults. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to use it.
• No account is needed. Bide works without signing in, and the data you enter is stored only on your device.
• Fasting is not right for everyone. Read the health disclaimer below before you start.

Your data

The fasts, logs and profile details you enter belong to you and stay on your device; we have no access to them. Because there is no cloud copy, we can't recover data that is lost when you erase it, delete the app, or lose or replace your phone. Use Export my data in Settings to keep a backup.

Acceptable use

Use Bide for lawful, personal purposes. Please don't copy, modify, resell or redistribute the app, try to get around its subscription, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.

Subscriptions and billing

Bide is unlocked with an auto-renewable subscription. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy, and eligible new subscribers can start with a free trial.

• Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase or, if you start with a free trial, when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings, which Bide opens for you from Settings → Manage subscription. Deleting the app or erasing its data does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
• If you reinstall or switch phones, you can restore an active purchase from the app. See our Restore purchases guide.

Service changes and availability

Bide works offline, and your timer keeps running without a connection; checking your subscription needs internet access from time to time. We may improve, change or discontinue features, and we can't promise the app will always be free of errors or interruptions.

Health disclaimer

Bide is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Fasting stages, projections and other content in the app are general information and estimates, not a promise of results. Don't fast without your doctor's advice if you:

• are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding
• have diabetes, low blood sugar or another medical condition, or take regular medication
• have or have had an eating disorder
• are underweight

Stop fasting and get medical help if you feel unwell. Decisions about your health remain your own.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bide won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for the loss of data stored on your device. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that cannot be waived.

Termination

You can stop using Bide at any time by deleting the app and cancelling any subscription. We may end your access to the app if you seriously break these Terms, or where the law requires it.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and if a change is significant we'll also tell you in the app. Continuing to use Bide after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
